Technique:
Our Wounaan accessories are meticulously handcrafted using an ancient spiral needle weaving technique, beginning with the transformation of werregue fiber — a raw material sourced from the Astrocaryum standleyanum palm. Native to the lush rainforests of Colombia’s Pacific region, this traditional method is deeply rooted in the cultural heritage of the Wounaan Indigenous communities, whose ancestral knowledge and extraordinary craftsmanship come together to create truly unique pieces of wearable art.
